Sri K.S Balakrishnan is a leading Carnatic Vocalist is a multi faceted artist from Chennai, India. Balakrishnan has mastered the art of carnatic music with the training and grace from his revered gurus like Sri Chengannur Balamuralikrishna, Sri Venmani Sukumaran, Violin Maestro, Sangeetha Kalanidhi Dr M.Chandrasekharan and Rajkumar Bharathi.
Apart from being a soloist, Balakrishnan, is also well versed in Nattuvangam and is prolific composer for dance ballets. He has sung and done Navttuvangam with Indian Dance legends like Smt Krishnaveni Lakshman, Malavika Sarukkai, Smt Priyadarshini Govind, Smt Chita Vishweswharan, Leela Samson & Gopika Verma.
Thiagarajan received innumerous accolades & Awards, Medals & titles conferred: He received as the Best from Mylapore Fine Arts Club, Sri Krishna Gana Sabha; he was also awarded the title Nadha Isai Selvar by a Musical institution of Chennai.
He was awarded the title Yuva Kala Bharathi by Bharat Kalachar in the year 2002. Asthana Vidwan of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam in the year 2007. With his rich professional experience over 20 years, Thigarajan toured has had several successful foreign tours. Thiagarajan has completely dedicated his life for music & has been a rising star in his field.
Born in a family of Traditional Musicians, B.V Ganesh had his initial training in Mridangam from Guru Kumbakonam Sreenivasan. He rapidly climbed the ladder of success at a very young age and has accompanied on the Mridangam to all the leading Dancers in both the Bharathanatyam and kuchipudi styles. Field to mention a few are Dr. Vempatti Chinnasathyam, Dhananjayans, Narasimha Chari VasanthaLakshmi, Dr. Saraswathi, Smt ManjuBhargavi, Shobhana, Prathibha Prahallad, Durgadevi, Meenakshi Sheshadri, M. V. N. Murthy and many other leading Dancers. Ganesh has performed in many prestigious venues including the Kennedy Center. He has done many global tours & has played many Jugalbandhis and Thala Vadya Kutcheries on the Tabala accompanying the Stalwarts like Shri. Karaikudi R.Mani, Shri. Umayalapuram Sivaraman, Shri. Vikku Vinayakaraman & Shri. Haridwara Mangalam A.K.Palanivel and has also appeared on the television on many occasions for the programs broadcasted on the National Network.
C.V. Sudhakar hails from a family of musicians and his ancestors were court musicians in the royal Tanjore Court of Tamilnadu. Sudhakar had his initial training at the tender age of 7 from his father grandfather Chittor Gopalakrishnan, and well known a grade artist of All India Radio. Later on he had intense training from his father Sri Chittoor Venkatesan who is a flute virtuoso, a top ranking artist of All India Radio.
Sri. Sudhakar has awarded Asthana Vidwan of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, Kanchipuram . Sudhakar has played duets with his father Sri Chittor Venkatesan. He has also been featured in many commercial recordings and Light music shows with legends like S.P Balasubramaniam, Vani Jayaram, Bombay Sisters, Nityasri Mahadevan, and others. He has also worked with many film music directors like Kunnakkudi Vaidyanathan, L Krishnan & Rajkumar Bharathy. Sudhakar with his rich musical experience is a much sought after flautist for all South Indian dance performances & has performed with all leading dancers in India & abroad.
Ramya Sundaresan, was initiated into Carnatic music at the age of 3 by her mother, Smt. Gayathri Sundaresan. She was fortunate to be able to study under Smt Lalitha of Kalakshetra, Smt. Devaki Iyer and Smt. Kamala Krishnamurthy for seven years after which she received advanced training from Sri V. Vamanan in Mumbai. During her college years in Mumbai, Ramya was a lead singer in a number of fusion bands, singing both Indian classical and Western styles with equal flair. She has several commercial jingles and classical concerts to her credit. Ramya has scored the music for the dance productions Abhijnyna Shkuntalam, Ponnolir Bhratam & Chandlik directed by Dr. Jayashree Rajagopalan and has toured all over India with her troupe for over ten years. She leads the orchestral team for the Natyarpana Dance Company and also scores music for its productions. She recently completed a tour of Europe and India, singing for the renowned Bharatanatyam dancer, Rama Vaidyanathan. Ramya has toured all over the India & USA to present solo and group productions, workshops and lecture demonstrations in universities and high schools.
Raman Kalyan, popularly known as Flute Raman is one of the worlds leading Flautists in the Carnatic style of Music. Raman won the Best Flautist Award from Madras Music Academy & is a featured artist in the "Miles from India" tour & performs with legends Dave Liebman ( Grammy Winner), Lenny White, Mandolin Shrinivas, Selvaganesh (Remember Shakti), Darryl Jones (Rolling Stones), and John Beasley (Finding Nemo). Raman has also been touring as a special guest with the legendary Singer & Guinness record holder K.J. Yesudas. Ramans latest CD, "Music for Deep Meditation", produced by Inner Splendour Media, reached the #1 Spot on the Apple I tunes in the world music category & has been on the top 50 for more than 6 months. As a performer, Composer, producer, educator, he has performed in all genres of music and has been very successful as a Music Composer. He has scored music for many Audio / Video Albums; CDs and has released more than 50 Cds which includes several best sellers through various labels worldwide. Raman has also worked with all leading dance legends like the Dhananjayans, C.V. Chandrashekar, and Adyar Lakshman.
Violinist M.S Kannan hails from a musical family .He is the son of well known Composer, mridangam artist Madurai T Srinivasan. Kannan had violin training from Kandadevi Chellam Iyengar & had advance d training from C.N Chandrashekar of All India Radio, Bangalore. Apart from being an accompanist, He is also a soloist. He is a B High grade artist of All India Radio, Chennai. Kannan hold a bachelors degree from the Tamil Nadu Govt Music College. Kannan has accompanied all leading Bharathanatyam, Kuchipudi and Mohiniattam Dancers in India & Abroad. Kannan has been featured in orchestras of leading South Indian Cine Music Directors for Movies including South Indian Music Maestro Ilayaraja. He also participated in All India Radio, Doordarshan and private Channels Recordings. Has toured globally and has done more than 20 foreign tours.
G. Ganeshan had his training in Mridangam from Guru Hanumanthapuram R.J. Bhuvaragan for more than 20 years. He was awarded the Govt of India Scholarship, and the Best mridangist award from the VDS Arts Academy, Chennai, India. He has accompanied leading dancers like Uma Dhandayuthapahani, Parvathi Ravi Ganta Sala, K.J.Sarasa, Indra Rajan, Venniradai Nirmala (Film Actress) He has also accompanied with Haridwara mangalam A.K Palanivel (Tavil) & toured with him to Srilanka.He has also participated in all the prestigious Dance and Music Festivals in India and Abroad. He has toured Bangkok, Canada, Mauritius,Dubai & Srilanka. Ganesan has been featured in all major Tamil TV Channels like the Sun TV , Vijay TV , Raj TV & is a graded artist if All India Radio & Doordarshan. He also holds a bachelors degree in Music from the University of Madras. He has more than 15 years of teaching experience and has worked d a music instructor in Kola Saraswathi Higher Secondary), Papanasam Sivan Fine Arts Academy and at AVM Rajeswari Higher Secondary School.
